There are three different types of hair removal techniques offered in Complete Skin & Beauty salons ensuring our clients can enjoy hair free skin all year round.
Waxing
Waxing is a process of temporary hair removal, the wax bonds to the hair and it is then removed from the follicle. Waxing is ideal for any type of hair no matter the colour or the thickness, the only requirement for waxing as a hair removal treatment is to ensure that the length of the hair is at least half a centimetre in length. Waxing doesn’t simulate more hair to grow but can actually help to reduce the hair growth as well as thin the hair out. This treatment has minimal down time and for best results, this treatment should be done every 4-6 weeks.

Intense Pulse Light (IPL) Hair Removal
IPL is a non-invasive semi permanent hair removal technique similar to laser hair removal as both use light to heat the hair follicle. IPL hair removal uses intense pulse light that is attracted to the melanin in each individual hair follicle, ideal for hair that has pigment which attracts the light. The short burst of light is absorbed into the hair follicles heating it to 70 degrees resulting in a reduction of hair growth. The treated hair will start to fall out 5-7 days after the treatment, with most clients achieving optimal results of an 80% hair reduction after receiving 6-12 Treatments on a regular cycle. Clients are recommended to have IPL treatments done every 4-6 weeks until optimum results are reached, with maintenance treatments after tailored to each individual client to continue their results.

Electrolysis
Electrolysis is the only permanent hair removal and is ideal for any type of hair no matter the colour, best suited for smaller areas such as the face, neck, chest. There are three different types of electrolysis Galvanic, Thermolysis & Blend. Galvanic creates a chemical reaction within the cell matrix where Thermolysis creates heat to destroy the cell matrix. Blend is a combination of both creating heat as well as a chemical reaction. This treatment works by placing a small electrode needle into the individual hair follicle using a direct current dependent on the type of electrolysis being used by your therapist. The hair is then removed after treatmet with tweezers.
