Our clients love the results they achieve with their skin in their in-salon LED treatments, but we know sometimes it is not possible to come in every single week to see us. Many of our clients have opted to use an at-home device in the weeks in between the salon visits to keep the results maintained and improving.
There are many LED devices on the market, and most times you really do get what you pay for. But don’t just look at price as an indicator of which LED machine to purchase, make sure it meets your needs and delivers the results you are after.
Things to look out for:
Are you looking to treat more than just your face? Then choosing a face mask shape may not be the best choice. Opt for a device that can treat face and multiple body parts. LED is versatile as a home device, because you can treat body conditions like sunburn, muscle strain, post-surgery scars, breakouts on the back and many more concerns.
Be sure your chosen device comes with safety features included, like protective goggles, and made from high quality material that is easy to clean, preferably flexible,medial-grade silicone.
You’ll find a lot of devices on the market will have red and blue wavelengths. These are the most popular wavelengths to treat major concerns. However, opting for a device that also includes Near-Infrared (NIR) is extremely beneficial over the devices that don’t include it. NIR is invisible to the eye and penetrates the deepest to treat muscles, joints and deep-tissue repair. NIR will boost the results of other LED wavelengths when used together
It is also important to look for a device that has a consistent even coverage of LEDs. More LED’s generally ensures a better, more even coverage and higher total energy output. Sparse LED’s can leave gaps in the treatment, resulting in uneven skin improvements.
With these specifications in mind, O Cosmedics has released a new LED face and body device that can be used by our clients at home. We are so excited about the quality of this device and the results our clients are seeing.
Here are some frequently asked questions about this new O Cosmedics LED device.

Power output (mW/cm²) shows how much light energy your skin receives. With up to 53 mW/cm², O LED delivers higher output than most at-home LED’s ensuring deeper penetration, faster activation of skin cells, and more visible results in less time.
