Lymphatic enzyme therapy
Lymphatic enzyme therapy has been overlooked for several years despite its array of benefits including lymphatic drainage, improved circulation, promoting detoxification and nutrient delivery to the skin. Lets take a deeper dive into lymphatic enzyme therapy and how it will benefit you!
Many lymphatic enzyme treatments aim to detoxify the excess fluid and toxins present in the skin by targeting the lymph nodes in the face. In most cases a mask that hardens and gives gentle compression to the skin will be applied. This is particularly great for those who suffer with puffy under eyes or deep lines and wrinkles.
The microcirculation improvement from an enzyme therapy facial helps to bring oxygenated, nutrient rich blood into the cells helping to promote faster healing and a brighter complexion. A poorly functioning lymphatic and microcirculatory system can contribute to sluggish oil flow, impaired wound healing, poor cellular turnover and poor cellular communication making this treatment perfect for those who may struggle with breakouts or dull lackluster skin.
Lymphatic enzyme therapy treatments also encourage a healthy skin microbiome which is vital for protecting you against the outside world. Our skin microbiome is the second largest microbial community after the gut. It works alongside other parts of your body to fight off infection, heal wounds and control inflammation. Microbiome imbalance is called dysbiosis and is linked to certain health conditions such as acne, eczema, rosacea and vitiligo. Our custom lymphatic enzyme masks include pre and post biotics to create and maintain a healthy balance of good bacteria.
Our two treatments that incorporate lymphatic enzyme compression therapy include our 90min O-biome Oxygen Therapy and our 60min Lymphatic Enzyme facial. These treatments are suitable for all skin types and conditions! Both treatments are pain free and have very minimal down time. Some clients can experience red vein like patterns after their treatment due to the unique increase in circulation and oxygenation in the skin. This is not painful and fades quickly.
Immediately after your treatment your skin will feel tighter and less inflamed, fine lines will appear softer, any redness from acne or rosacea will diffuse, and pigmentation and dull skin will appear brighter. Your therapist will discuss a suitable treatment plan for your skin concerns but treatment can be performed every 2 weeks. Please be aware the compression mask in these treatments contain egg so clients with allergies or vegans may not be suitable.
We encourage the use of homecare products to enhance the results of your treatment. Our favourite recommendations that complement our Lymphatic enzyme treatments include O’cosmedics EFA capsules which support a healthy cardiovascular system and award winning O’cosmedics O-biome Hydrating Setting Spray which offers microbiome and ph protection.
